KEY #4: PAY PLAN
Behavior? - Up front, every NWM company's Comp Plan 'drives' the BEHAVIOR in the field. Take notice of whether there are 'income claims' being promoted or if photos of commission checks earned are displayed. Get a feel for whether the Comp Plan seems to be the 'major focus' of the (6) Success KEYS we are discussing on this site. Is it the primary discussion on most of the Conference Calls? Have there been many 'changes' in the Plan?
Qualifications? - In order to 'participate' in the Pay Plan - start by asking them if their vol. production requirements are reasonable - in order to earn a check. Their Startup costs - high / low / none? Their monthly Maintenance costs - large / small / none? VOLUME - be sure to ask them how much $$ Volume (or BV / PV) will be required to generate $100./month of 'residual' commission. What about their Group vol. requirements? Find out their requirements for any rewards (recognition / trips / trophys / autos / scholarships / etc).
Type of Plan? - Find out whether their Comp Plan is - a Matrix - a Unilevel - a Binary - Stairstep Breakaway - Ausi 2-Up - Hybrid Mix, or whatever - and what 'commission rates' do they pay out on each level? Ask if they offer - Startup Bonuses / Matching Bonuses / Car Bonuses / Coding Bonuses / Training Bonuses / Infinity Bonuses / Front-end Loads (buy-ins). Ask if there's any BREAKAGE (in favor of Company). Ask if the Pay Plan has COMPRESSION. Find out whether the Plan is simple to understand and easy to explain. Ask if they issue commission checks - daily - weekly - or monthly (by bank deposit / debit card / check)? Ask => are their commissions paid out 'on time'?
